Two big Mongolian pharmaceutical companies fined for using technical spirit for hand sanitizers

Two major Mongolian pharmaceutical companies, namely; the Monos Group and Nakhia Impex have been fined MNT 3 million each for using technical spirit for producing hand sanitizers. According to G.Sugarbat, deputy director of the Metropolitan Professional Inspection Department, the Mongolia standard is grade one spirit (luxury grade spirit) of 96 percent for producing hand sanitizers. However, the companies used grade three, or technical spirit, for production of hand sanitizers.

Internationally, it is prohibited to use technical spirits for hand sanitizers which can cause an allergic reaction with some people who have sensitive skin.
