A total of 50 Mongolian nationals are currently stuck in Erenhot, a city which is just across the border in China. The group has applied to return home several times since 25 March. However, China’s Inner Mongolian Emergency Commission only gave Ulaanbaatar permission to evacuate them on 10 April. Therefore, Mongolia will evacuate the 50 nationals from Erenhot through the Zamyn-Uud border crossings tomorrow (15 April).
As of today, China’s Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region has officially recorded 118 cases of coronavirus, 74 recoveries and 1 death.
