The National Emergency Commission of Mongolia has decided to again extend the period of quarantine – this time until 30 April in order to prevent the spread of the highly infectious coronavirus. All schools, universities and kindergartens in the country have been on quarantine since 27 January.
The decision came after some changes were made: according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the 2020-2021academic year will start from 15 August. It usually starts 1 September
Also, pupils will study on Saturdays from 1 May. However, the summer breaks won’t be changed; for kindergartens and l-V grades will begin from 1 June, whilst for VI-XII grades it will be from 8 June.
