Mongolian train ban for people with fever or without masks

Mongolia’s international passenger train services to Russian and China have been suspended until 28 March by the National Emergency Commission in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Furthermore, domestic trains in Mongolia re-started three days ago after being suspended on 10 March when the nationwide lockdown was announced.

Prior to restoring domestic railway services, trains of Ulaanbaatar Railway JSC have been thoroughly sanitized both inside and out. Currently, doctors are checking body temperatures of passengers every 2 hours as a cautionary measure against the infection.

Furthermore, passengers with fever or not wearing masks will be denied access to all trains.

Currently, Mongolia has six confirmed cases of coronavirus; one French national and five people evacuated from foreign countries.
