Countries need to prepare enough hospital beds to for 1.4 percent of total population when an infectious disease breaks out. There are 570 beds in Central Military Hospital specially for treating people with coronavirus, various health resorts are also preparing to isolate people suspected with having Covid-19 disease. However, this is equivalent to 0.4 percent of Mongolia’s population. So, our News Agency questioned A.Ambaselmaa, Head of the Infectious Disease Surveillance and Research Department at the National Centre for Communicative Disease (NCCD), does Mongolia has enough beds for patients with coronavirus?

A.Ambaselmaa reported that the people who have returned on the  chartered flights from foreign countries have being isolated in different locations, whilst those under serious suspicion are in the NCCD. There are enough isolation centers, she said.

Mongolia has isolated a total of 1697 people since 9 January. Currently, 945 people are in quarantine.
