The National Emergency Commission decided on Sunday (8 March) to extend the suspension of flights until 28 March. Subsequently, Mongolia is continuing to cancel air traffic with China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan and the Russian city of Ulan-Ude in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus which has now struck over 80 countries.
Currently, Mongolia is conducting flights with Moscow, Berlin and Turkey as normal.
The Mongolian Government has also quarantined all schools, universities and kindergartens until 1 April.
