Last week, during a visit to Beijing, Mongolian President Kh.Battulga made the gift of 30,000 sheep (worth of CHY 90 million) to China. Reaffirming support to China, Kh.Battulga has becomes first president to visit the county since the coronavirus outbreak began in December, 2019.
Mongolians applauded the president for the unique gift to China and supported him by donating their own sheep. For example, a herder from Uvs Province gave 1000 sheep whilst another herder from Tuv Province made the gift of 108 sheep.
Previously, the Mongolian government has donated 200,000 U.S. dollars for China’s epidemic control efforts.
