In recent years, the budget for Mongolia’s health sector has increased sharply. Mongolia raised the health budget to MNT 964.6 billion in 2020 from MNT 694.7 billion in 2017 – an increase of 38 percent.

Mongolia has upgraded the budget for primary hospitals, coordinating the cost of treatment of per person; this will be increased to MNT 30,000 this year from MNT 15,000. The increase of tariff will cost MNT 26.7 billion; increased by twice times compared to 2017 and by 75.9 percent from 2019.
