2020 is a leap year with a total of 366 days. Mongolia will have 15 days of public celebration this year. The most famous celebrations in the country are the Naadam Festival and Tsagaan Sar (the Lunar New Year).
Mongolians will get 12 holidays, following the parliament backed decision of celebrating Buddha Day as a national holiday. Buddha Day, also known as Purnima and Vesak, falls on the 15th day of the first month of summer each year, according to the Buddhist calendar. In 2020, the holy day falls on 5 June.
