Mongolia will host the International Youth Green Games in Ulaanbaatar under the auspices of the President on 13-20 September, 2020. Over 4000 athletes from 195 countries are expected to participate in the games under the theme ‘Sustainable Development Goals-2030’. The athletes aged up to 18 will compete in 25 sports categories.
In order to host the games, Mongolia has planned to reconstruct some sports arenas such as the ‘Technical Sports Centre, the Steppe Arena, the Water Sports Training Centre, Sports Complexes in Yarmag and Buyant-Ukhaa as well as a non-sporting venue – the Choijin Lama Temple Museum.
The International Youth Green Games is a biannual event.
