Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit Mongolia on 3 September in order to participate in the 80^th anniversary celebrations of the Victory of Khalkhin Gol. An official programme of Putin’s visit has not been revealed yet, however, he is expected to participate in the 14^th forum of Mongolian alumni of Russian Universities.

The forum is being organised by the Mongolian Alumni Federation of the Ural University under theme ‘Victory of Khalkhin Gol: Joint Victory of Mongolia and Russia’. The sub-text of the title is: ‘passing on friendship and cooperation between our two countries to future generations’.

Over 60,000 Mongolians have graduated from Russian Universities since 1921.
