Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit Mongolia on 3 September in order to participate in the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Victory of Khalkhin Gol. An official programme of Putin’s visit has not been revealed yet, however, he is expected to participate in the 14th forum of Mongolian alumni of Russian Universities.
The forum is being organised by the Mongolian Alumni Federation of the Ural University under theme ‘Victory of Khalkhin Gol: Joint Victory of Mongolia and Russia’. The sub-text of the title is: ‘passing on friendship and cooperation between our two countries to future generations’.
Over 60,000 Mongolians have graduated from Russian Universities since 1921.
