The ‘Life Element O2’ ballet will be staged at the Corporate Convention Centre on 19 May. This is the second ballet performance addressing environmental issues in Mongolia.
Last year, the Mongolian-American Ballet Programme presented its first environmental project on water conservation entitled ‘Life Saviour H2O’ in collaboration with Nomadic Ballet Productions. The second ballet performance will raise the issue of air pollution and child health.
The project is being supported by UNICEF and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), which are implementing a long-term programme aimed at reducing air pollution, protecting maternal and child health and improving health care with the Government of Mongolia.
Revenue from ticket sales will be donated to the Mongolian-American Ballet Programme and spent on training of young ballet dancers.
