Delegates led by Wang Jiarui, president of China’s Soong Ching Ling Foundation visited Ulaanbaatar on 3-4 April at the invitation of the Mongolian People’s Party. During the visit, the foundation donated medical equipment worth CHY 1 million to the Mongolian National Centre for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH). Nearly 20 types of equipment including an incubator, infant air conditioners and infant light heating were donated.

In May 1982, the Soong Ching Ling Foundation (SCLF) was established in commemoration of Soong Ching Ling, the late Honourary President of the People’s Republic of China.
