A citizen from the United States was found dead in the Shangri-La Hotel yesterday (12 December). According to the police, the 34 year–old man had been strangled to death by his belt in a hotel room. The police have seized an empty bottle of alcohol and other belongings as evidence. The case is being investigated by the Sukhbaatar District Police Department.

According to unofficial sources, the American was from the military.
