
Finnish President Tarja Halonen is visiting Mongolia this week. The official visit comes at the invitation of President Ts. Elbegdorj. Ms. Halonen arrived in Ulaanbaatar on Tuesday morning and will depart on Thursday. While she’s here, Ms. Halonen will meet with the president, prime minister, and other officials. The two sides will discuss improving diplomatic and trade relations, as well as regional and national issues. Ms. Halonen will also visit Gandan Monastery. She is currently serving her second term as the president of Finland.
