Mongolian High Court called upon to abolish MPP

A lawyer, has made a complaint to the Mongolian High Court to abolish the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) – the nation’s ruling party –  following the ’60 Million’ corruption case. The lawyer in question, D.Erdenetsogt PhD, said at a press conference that although the MPP won a landslide victory in the 2016 general election, taking 65 out of 76 seats in the national parliament, there is extensive evidence that this was achieved illegally.  This can be confirmed by a video of the ’60 Million’ case. Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, who is also leader of the MPP has confirmed the video of the case is correct. In addition, MPP Secretary General D.Amarbayasgalan, speaking at a press conference back in July outside Mongolia’s Anti-Corruption Agency confirmed that the video evidence had not been edited and was correct.
