Earlier today, (5 October), the Mongolian Parliament approved Ya.Sodbaatar as Minister of Road and Transport Development with 90.8 percent of the members’ votes. He succeeded J.Bat-Erdene, who submitted his resignation on 12 August to Prime Minister taking responsibility for an incident which happened in the ministry which left one official dead and another under arrest. His resignation was approved by parliament yesterday.

Ya.Sodbaatar was nominated to the new post by Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh.
