In most parts of Mongolia, snow fall this week has affected harvesting and damaged some crops. The early snowfall is pushing crops flat to the ground, making them very difficult to harvest.
The harvesting is getting sluggish in some regions – in particular, the western and central provinces of Mongolia. A total of 85 percent of crops were covered around with 25-30 cm snow in Selenge and Tuv Provinces.
Currently, Mongolia has managed to harvest 50 percent of the total crops.
