Mongolian Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh is visiting in Washington D.C at the invitation of Vice President Mike Pence, becoming the most senior Mongolian official to visit the U.S. in recent years. During the trip, the signing ceremony of a compact agreement of USD 350 million nonrefundable loans between the Millennium Challenge Foundation and Mongolian Government will take place. The decision regarding the compact agreement was concluded in 2014.
Mr. U.Khurelsukh has already held a meeting with Mike Pence in which he invited the vice president to visit in Mongolia in the near future. Mr Pence accepted the invitation and is preparing to ride a Harley Davidson along Mongolia’s motor-bike enthusiast PM.
Fourteen years ago, Mongolia established a comprehensive partnership with the United States when then Mongolian President N.Bagabandi visited Washington. This time, Mongolia will sign a new partnership agreement with the US during the PM’s visit.
