I.Odonchimeg has received best actress award in the Mongolian box-office hit ‘Insane Mother’, at the Qindao Film Festival together with Chinese actress Zhou Xun in the film ‘Our Time Will Come’. The film festival began last Wednesday  following on from the summit of heads of states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in the east Chinese coastal city of  Qindao. Over five days, a total of 55 films were screened from 12 SCO countries. A total of 50,000 movie fans attended the Qindao Film Festival which culminated in the  awards ceremony Sunday 17 June.

Based on a Chinese novel by Wang Heng Ji, ‘Insane Mother’ smashed the Mongolian box office following its premiere on 5 January 2018 – it also proved a success in South Korea when it was screened in Seoul and Busan. The director and star of the movie is State Merited Artist I.Odonchimeg from X Tuts Production and was co-produced by her colleague N.Onon.
