The annual multinational peacekeeping exercise ‘Khaan Quest’ will start tomorrow with nearly 1400 troops from 26 countries taking part. This year, Nepal is participating as military observer and Qatar is sending contingent of troops to the US-Mongolian led training event.

The Mongolian Armed Forces in cooperation with the US Pacific Command initiated the ‘Khaan Quest’ as a bilateral exercise in 2003; three years later it was expanded into a multinational peacekeeping exercise. The ‘Khaan Quest’ exercise has gathered over 11 thousand peacekeepers from 51 countries of 5 continents over the past years.
