A 90 year-old building, located on the east side of the State Palace of Mongolia is to be reborn as the ‘Galleria Ulaanbaatar’. The new gallery and shopping centre is expected to open this summer.

Currently, 80 percent of construction work has completed since it started last year. The ‘Tavan Bogd Group’ bought the 5244 sq. meter structure and its adjoining land for MNT 24 billion by auction in 2015.

The company is focusing on retaining the design of the original building during the modernisation process. Constructed in 1929, it was previously the Sukhbaatar Printing Building. The structure has a floated concrete base and brick walls.
