Nearly 800 motorcyclists gathered in Ulaanbaatar on Saturday for an international motorsports festival entitled ‘Steppe Wind’.
The two-day event under the motto ‘Let’s fight against domestic violence’ revved up on Sukhbaatar Square and, led by Mongolian Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, roared off along Peace Avenue for the Monde Resort which is located in Terelj, near the capital city.
Fifty bikers from China and fifty more from Russia also participated in the festival, said the UB city tourism department.
‘An exhibition of 300 motorcycles as well as performances by famous Mongolian rock bands including Kharanga, Khurd and Nisvanis and contortionist and circus shows was held free of charge in the festival field of the Monde Resort.
Mongolian Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh is well known as a motorsport enthusiast.
