Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh has has visited the city of Bayannuur in China’s Inner Mongolia on his way back from an official visit in Beijing.  U.Khurelsukh discussed various trade issues, in particular the import of Mongolian coal and the capacity of truck deliveries via the Gashuun Sukhait and Gants Mod border crossings with Li Ji Hen, director of the Bayannuur Party Commission.

Mongolia exported 18 million tonnes of commodities through the Chinese border crossings – 17 million tonnes of which were coal.

During his meeting with President Xi Jingpin earlier in the week, Prime Minister Khurelsukh proposed that Mongolia could increase annual coal deliveries to China to a total of 30 million tonnes by 2020.
