The Mongolian hockey team has won gold at the 2018 International Ice Hockey Federation Challenge Cup of Asia. The competition took place in Manila, the capital of the Philippines on 2-8 April.

The Mongolian team led by captain N.Mishigsuren and coach A.Mergen became Asian champion for the first time after participating for eight consecutive years since 2013. Mongolia did, however, win bronze medals in 2013-2016 and silver in 2017.
