Four Mongolian traditional wrestlers have been banned from competitions for two years by the country’s National Wrestling Association.
The Foundation for Supporting Sports has been organising the ‘Mongolia against doping’ campaign in cooperation with the National Anti-Doping Centre since 2017. Under the campaign, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports has examined out-of-competition doping tests among Mongolian traditional wrestlers. In February, five wrestlers out of 31 participants were tested positive in the “A” sample. After that, four tested positive in the ‘B’ sample; one wrestler refused to give a sample.
