Russian voters in Mongolia cast their ballots in Russia’s presidential election on 18 March. The Russian Embassy organised polling stations in Ulaanbaatar, Darkhan and Erdenet which were open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A total of 956 Russian voters out of 1300 registered in Ulaanbaatar cast their votes. Also, 89 Russians in Darkhan and 204 in Erdenet voted for the Russia’s presidential election. A total of 1700 Russian citizens live in Mongolia. As soon as the ballot papers were counted, the results were relayed to the Central Electoral Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
