Kh.Battulga, President of Mongolia continued his regional tour visiting Tuv (Central) province at the weekend. Provincial leaders welcomed the President with a military parade.
Kh.Battulga held a brief meeting with the residents of Tuv province, during which, he exchanged information with them about projects and programmes such as the new Ulaanbaatar International Airport, currently being implemented by the government. Located 52 km south of Ulaanbaatar city centre, Khushig Valley Airport is under construction in the Sergelen soum of Tuv Province.
Local residents complained that the government implements fewer projects in Tuv and programme than other provinces although the infrastructure is well developed; this can largely be attributed to the close proximity of the Mongolian capital. The locals who spoke to President Battulga, also criticised the provincial administration for not doing enough to help the population.
