A vaccination programme against pneumonia started in all district hospitals of Ulaanbaatar on 1 March. Two months-old infants are getting the jab first.
Mongolian Health Minister D.Sarangerel, Ts.Tumurbaatar, director of the National Centre for Public Health and D.Narangerel, head of department at the Ministry of Health visited Sukhbaatar District Hospital on 12 March in order to examine the progress of the vaccination programme. The hospital provides vaccination against pneumonia for 20-25 infants a day. Currently, 94 percent of the 150 infants have vaccinated.
