The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Petitions held a hearing on the implementation of parliamentary resolution №03 to stop the exploration and extraction of sand on the banks of the River Tuul on Tuesday. MP M.Oyunchimeg, D.Damba-Ochir, B.Enkh-Amgalan, Yo.Baatarbileg and Radnaased have participated in the hearing.
Under a parliamentary decision, 95 licenses for sand exploration and quarrying have been suspended.
The Tuul is an important Mongolian river which flows through the capital Ulaanbaatar.
