Fuel
shortage still plagues the countryside. Petroleum companies try to avoid the
high transportation costs to distant provinces and are quite happy with their
increasing sales in Ulaanbaatar. The result has been that petroleum stations in
Arkhangai, Gobi-Altai and Selenge aimags still limit single sales to 20 liters.

The
officials of Ecozoo LLC of Arkhangai aimag have said local passenger
transportation service operators have increased ticket prices by MNT3000 and
MNT5000 following fuel shortage in the aimag.
