D.Batpurev, marketing director of the ‘Pertovis’ Group and N.Naranbat, Deputy of ‘NIC’ LLC explained the reason behind the increasing fuel prices at a press conference on Monday (15 January). Recently, consumers claimed that the petrol importers had begun to impose limits on their supply in order to increase prices.
According to the petrol importers, the price increases were caused by the following:
– Excise tax on fuel has increased by MNT 190,000-280,000,
– Since July, the Russian supplier has been increased the price by USD 130-156,
– The price of fuel imports has increased by 21-25 percent,
– The price of a barrel crude oil has reached USD 70.
Since February 2017, the petrol importers have not increased their fuel prices. They explained the situation to Government; however, the problem was not solved. As a result, petrol importers are losing MNT 250-300 per liter.
As of today (15 January), prices of the widely needed A-92 and A-80 has not increased; but prices of A-95 and A-98 has increased by MNT 110-150.
