The National Transportation Department of Mongolia has reported that it intends to change the letters on vehicle number plates. This change will come into effect  from 1 July, 2018. Mongolian vehicle registration plates consist of four digits (including leading zeroes) and three Cyrillic letters. However, some countries, do not recognize Cyrillic letters on vehicle registration plates when Mongolians travel to abroad with their cars. So, Mongolia will change the Cyrillic letters to Latin ones.
