The seasonal flu outbreak appears to has decreased by 3-4 percent since last week; the burden on district hospitals has fallen by a third. However, doctors are warning that the spread of flu is expected to increase again in February and March. The outbreak of influenza is particularly high among infants and children: 80 percent of patients are aged 0-9.  

The air-pollution in the city of Ulaanbaatar, which is currently at critical level is partly responsible for the increase of seasonal flu.
