Mongolian national ski team athletes have received grants for Pyeongchang 2018 from the International Olympic Federation (IOF). Mongolian athletes B.Achbadrakh, Ch.Otgontsetseg and A.Enhktuul received the grants on 1 January.
According to an agreement between the Physical Education and Sports Development Centre, MNOC and the IOF, a quarterly grant of USD 1800 will be provided to the athletes, USD 1400 to coaches and USD 3200 for training expenses.
The grant scheme was announced by the IOF as a means of supporting athletes who are practicing an individual sport included in the Winter Olympic programme and have the potential to qualify for the Olympic Winter Games.
Currently, cross-country skiers B.Achbadrakh and Ch.Otgontsetseg have met the first technical level to qualify for Pyeongchang 2018 which will be held from 9-25.February
