G.Gantumur, director of the Mongolian Agency for Standardisation and Metrology is under suspicion of embezzlement and the abuse of power. The director and his two aides are currently under investigation by the Mongolian Independent Agency for Anti-Corruption (IAAC) for forcing people to buy two expensive manuals on standardisation.
According to our sources, the IAAC received a complaint on 22 November that G.Gantumur has been embezzling money from the ‘pressure selling’ of the books to enterprises. The manuals cost MNT 200 thousand each.
