Mongolian sumo wrestler B.Dashnyam known as Asasekiryu Taro has acquired Japanese citizenship. He received the official certificate confirming this on Monday.

Thirty-five-year-old B.Dashnyam acquired Japanese citizenship for enabling him to stay in the sumo world after retirement as an elder of the Japan Sumo Association. He has been living in Japan since he started professional sumo in 2000.
