A 25 year-old Mongolian man who has been suffering from paralysis since birth, has participated in the "Next Male Model" Mongolian Bodybuilding and Fitness Competition.  His name is G.Batjargal and he has been practicing bodybuilding at ‘Chiireg Mongol’ club for two years. Bodybuilding coach E.Ganzorig has helped him through all his difficulties from not being able to lift chair to becoming a serious bodybuilding athlete. According to his coach, G.Batjargal gained some weight since beginning practicing bodybuilding and now weighs 59 kg. Over this period, his muscle movement has improved and become more controlled.

G.Batjargal lives in ger district in Ulaanbaatar and has one sister. He goes to the fitness centre six days a week. He had a twin brother when he was born. However, the doctors said his twin would not be able to  survive; his parents were desperate to save him. In order to do this, they agreed that the doctors took a spinal (lumbar) puncture from Batjargal who had been born healthy. Sadly, the operation went wrong and  Batjargal became paralysed.

After participating in the ‘The Next Male Model’ competition, G.Batjargal gained much attention and received an invitation to participate in the forthcoming University Bodybuilding and Fitness competition. This event will take place in Huhhot, Inner Mongolia on 4th of May.
