12 motorcyclists from Moscow,
Samara and Perm will follow the route taken between 1247 and 1249 by Alexander
Nevskii to reach Kharkhorin, the capital of the Mongolian Khaan, and then
return to his homeland. The adventure was suggested by a priest of the Russian
Church, Dmitrii Meninikov, in Kushva city. The 12 begin their journey on August
7 from Uspenskii Church of Vladimir city and plan to cover 17,000 km through Russian
and Mongolian territory in 35 days, when they return to Gorodtse city of Nijniigorodsk
province where Nevskii died in 1463.
