A round table meeting between the Mongolian and Canadian governments were held in Ottawa on 9^th of March. The Mongolian delegation was led by Ts.Dashdorj, Minister of Mining and Heavy Industries and the Canadian negotiating team by Donald Bobias, Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations. They discussed increasing cooperation between the two counties on the economy, investment, defence, education, science and cultural.

Canada included Mongolia to its list of "countries of focus" in 2014; these are low-income countries which are targeted for assistance from Ottawa. Recently, Canada is implementing six projects in Mongolia in mining, agriculture and civil service. Mongolian and Canadian cooperation has been successfully developed under the Expanded Partnership Agreement.
