A court today heard the case
against two doctors at the Maternity Scientific Research Center who are accused
of professional negligence. They performed surgery on a three-month-old girl
child in 2008 who then died. The family complained that proper post-operative
care had not been taken.

If the doctors are found
guilty they could be barred from medical practice for three years and also
jailed for three years.
