On 3^rd of February, J.Erdenebat, Prime Minister of Mongolia received Tatiana Valovaya, the Minister of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) responsible for integration and macroeconomics, at Government House. At the meeting the Prime Minister expressed his interests in establishing a Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union. He said “We are grateful that bilateral relations have been dynamically developing and are ready to establish a joint working group for establishing a Free Trade Agreement with the EAEU.

Minister Valovaya supported this idea and promised to give an answer in the near future.

The EAEU, is an economic union consisting mostly of countries from the northern part of the Eurasian continent. Based on a 1994 concept by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, followed by a 2014 agreement between the latter and the presidents of Russia and Belarus, this purely economic alliance came into existence on 1st January 2015.
