The General Agency for Specialised Inspection has seized 482.3 grams of gold from illegal miners. The gold, in the form of 926.26 carat bars has been handed to the treasury of the Bank of Mongolia.

Over the past years, the General Agency of Specialized Inspection has handed a total of two kilograms of gold to the Bank of Mongolia.

The Agency also imposed a fine of MNT 3.5 billion for the damages caused to the state gold reserves by illegal mining activities.
