Proper medical waste disposal
equipment, worth MNT203 million and 598,000 and donated by WHO, was handed over
to representatives of 26 soum hospitals on July 22. The ceremony on the
occasion was attended by Minister for Health S. Lambaa, Permanent
Representative of WHO Vivat and other officials. The soums whose hospitals got
the equipment are in Uvs, Khovd, Bayan-Ulgii, Khuvsgul, Dornod, Gobi-Altai,
Bayankhongor and Umnugobi aimags.

Workers who will use the
equipment were trained for three days on their proper and safe use.
