The General Office to Implement Court
Decisions has rejected a plea from workers of Altan Dornod Mongol LLC to allow
them to resume exploitation work. The management of the company, owned by S. V.
Paushok who has left the country, has been entrusted to Mongolians, but the
office has not given the company any equipment. Employees who have been without
a job for the last two years approached the Ministry of Justice and Internal
Affairs to let them resume mining but were referred to the office.

Expressing disappointment at the
state of affairs, Deputy Director of Production D. Davaasambuu said the company
had prepared a plan of exploitation in the area of Zaamar soum of Tuv aimag
where it held a special license but the Mineral Resources Authority has not approved
it.
