Issues relating to how Mongolia will exercise its leadership of the Community of Democracy were discussed at a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 10. Mongolia assumed the responsibility on July 1 and will hold it for two years.

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade G.Zandanshatar chaired the meeting which was attended by MPs R. Amarjargal, D. Baldan-Ochir and Z. Enkhbold, Minister for Social Welfare and Labor T. Gandi and representatives of civil society.

They decided to establish a consultative council that will work in cooperation with the National Council headed by Prime Minister S.Batbold. It would have six branch committees including parliament, civil society, business, media, women and youth.
