The XXXI Olympic starts with women football competition today (4^th of August) in Rio de Janiero, Brazil – but for Mongolian athletes the Olympic competition begins tomorrow. In the first event, International Master of Sport J.Gantugs will shoot 12 arrows in the 70 meter archery competition with 64 archers from other countries.

J.Gantugs took his Rio-2016 Olympic qualifying right, winning the silver medal from the Asian Championship last November. Previously, J.Gantugs stood in 19th place, taking 699 scores during the pre-shooting for “London 2012”. Sadly, he lost the archery against the Indian archer Rahul Banerjee in the first round. At the time, he managed upgraded Mongolia's archery record of archery by one point.
