A shallow magnitude earthquake struck 58 km west of the Naranbulag soum in the western Mongolian province of Uvs on Sunday (7th of August). According to the governor of Naranbulag, there are no reports of significant damage and citizens did not report feeling anything.
In June, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck the northwestern Mongolian province of Khovd. The epicenter was in a remote region near Khar-Us Lake in Khovd province. There were also no reports of significant damage.
