A bill on the Ulaanbaatar city budget 2018 was put to public discussion on 20 November. Citizens’ representatives from the nine districts of the capital gathered to be briefed on the present financial situation and the proposed budget. Revenue worth MNT208.5 billion will be generated for the state budget from the capital city, while MNT16.3 billion will be allocated to Ulaanbaatar from the Unified Local Development Fund.

The budget bill must be submitted to the Citizens’ Representatives’ Meeting before the set date of 25 November  and must be approved by 5 December.

The Ulaanbaatar city administration is planning to continue mortgage and rent-on projects and to construct new apartments for 1,002 households in 2018.
