On the eve of its 85th anniversary, the Ensemble of Military Song and Dance has become a first-ever cultural organisation to receive certificates of 13 UNESCO-registered intangible cultural heritages of Mongolia.

The Ensemble made its first cultural performance on 12 December  1932. During the years of WW II, The Mongolian Military Song and Dance Ensemble was to play an important role in boosting moral among soldiers and civilians alike. With its unique image and performances, the Ensemble has over the years played an important role participating in national and international cultural festivals.
